Saab

Beginning. Saab AB is a Swedish group, which produces airplanes and cars. Established in 1937, though later began producing cars. Saab 92001 left the walls of the factory in 1947. Two years later, as the car began to produce 92 series.

Development. In 1969 Saab merged with the manufacturer of goods vehicles - Scania. Seven years later, the millionth Saab went down the assembly line. In the seventies and eighties Saab collaborated with the Italian leader - Fiat. Saab 600 was sold as the Lancia Delta. Saab 9000, Alfa Romeo 164, Fiat Croma and Lancia Thema was made from common parts. In 1990, the department dealing with the production of Saab Automobile was acquired (half share) by the American company General Motors, which ten years later bought the rest of the shares, becoming the sole owner of the company.

Today. In 2009, GM asked for financial assistance to the Government of Sweden. He refused. In early 2010, announced the sale of Saab Spyker company (Dutch luxury car manufacturer). February 12 Spyker shareholders agreed to buy Saab.

Today. After the acquisition by the Dutch, the company announced that it will build a headquarters in the United States. Saab also announced plans to return to China, which pulled out of General Motors. The transaction includes the opening ten stores in the Middle Kingdom.
